When I agreed to participate in the Creative Crescent contest I had no idea how much of a hit it was going to be on the home front. In fact in the past couple of months I have created 4 new recipes and that brings my total created recipes to let me count…1,2…oh yeah FOUR! I have been having so much fun doing so. When I needed to create a recipe out of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls for www.CreativeCrescents.com I had two ideas and wasn’t sure which one would work out so I decided to make both and let the family decide. I made the Loaded Potato Puffs as well as these Stuffed Mexican Rolls below.
Ingredients
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (8 rolls)
- 1/2 lb Hamburger
- Taco Seasoning
- Shredded Cheese (flavor of choice)
- Green Onions
Optional:
- Sour Cream
- Hot Sauce
Directions
- Cook hamburger with taco seasoning as directed on package
- Put approx 1 1/2 Tbs of hamburger on crescent roll
- Top with cheese, green onions, and hot sauce (to taste)
- Roll up crescent roll and cook as directed
- Garnish with sour green and hot sauce (opitional)
When I presented both recipes to my tasters my husband and daughter the vote was split. One for the Loaded Potato Puffs and one for the Stuffed Mexican Rolls. Though I went with the Loaded Potato Puffs the Stuffed Mexican rolls were too good not to post. In fact they both liked them so much we just had them again for dinner this evening. However my husband changed it up a little and wanted the Stuffed Mexican Rolls without the Mexican flavoring. We cooked the hamburger without the taco seasoning and stuffed with the cheese and green onions.
I would LOVE if you would take a second and vote for my Loaded Potato Puffs at www.CreativeCrescents.com. You can vote daily! As a small reminder here is the recipe you would be voting for.
