I am not a chef and to be honest I don’t really enjoy cooking. However, eating is a necessity so I try to make dinner at least a few nights a week. When I get into a good routine we usually have chicken, steak, pork chops, shrimp, and then something out l like pizza, Mexican, Chilis, etc. I’m always looking for a new recipe and ways to prepare one of my staple proteins. Finding new recipes is the key to eating in. My favorite childhood recipe is Golden Mushroom Pork Chops.
Both my mom and dad are great cooks, but these tender pork chops were always compliments of my dad. We visited my dad every summer, and every time I would ask him to please make me his Golden Mushroom Pork Chops.
I still enjoy making them because with them come memories. Memories of summers spent with Dad in his little house in the country. Sometimes the best recipes are the ones from our childhood served with love.

Much better with the bone-in pork chops, it is nice to have something different to serve the family.
