Chinese Casserole Recipe
This is an easy meal my mom used to make when I was a kid. This Chinese Casserole is a quick, easy, and kid-friendly recipe (or at least for this one kid). It is one that tastes better than it looks, or at least that is what I’ve tried to tell my husband who refuses to eat it. I decided to make it one day for a potluck lunch at work because an easy meal is my kind of meal, and I received rave reviews. Due to their reactions, I’m going to stand by my word that it tastes great. Because it is so easy to prepare and everyone seems to love it, it is a great dish to take to a get-together or while entertaining.
To make this flavorful Chinese Casserole, begin by preheating your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. In a skillet, cook 1 ½ lbs of ground hamburger over medium heat until it is browned and fully cooked. Once the hamburger is ready, prepare a casserole dish and layer your ingredients starting with one-third of the cooked hamburger, followed by a quarter of the Chinese noodles. Next, spread a can of cream of mushroom soup evenly over the noodles. Repeat this layering process by adding another one-third of the hamburger, another quarter of the noodles, and a can of cream of celery soup. For the final layer, add the remaining one-third of the hamburger and a quarter of the noodles, then top it all off with the can of chicken gumbo soup. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes, or until the noodles are puffy and cooked through, creating a deliciously hearty casserole perfect for any meal.
