The WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera is a pet camera with treat tossing, two-way audio, night vision, and a 360-degree rotating view. I tested it at home with our French Bulldog and cat to see how well it worked for checking in on pets, sending treats, and capturing fun photos and videos during the day.
We are excited to be sharing our review of the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera because this is our first dog treat camera, and we really enjoyed testing the features and having fun with everything it offers. This is a nice product to have if you are away from home and want to see your pets, communicate with them, or give them a little treat to let them know you care.
Since we already use other WOPet products at home, including the WOPET Automatic Dog Feeder and the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro, I was curious to see how the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera compared. This one stood out because it gave me a better view of areas our other cameras do not always catch, especially one of Dino’s favorite sunny spots.
WWOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera Review
Honestly, what I love most about the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera is the camera and video quality. My house already has video cameras for security and to keep an eye on our furry family members, but this dog treat camera gives me a much closer, pet-level view.
Instead of only seeing the room from above or from a fixed angle, I can check in on Dino and Stevie from a lower spot that feels more personal. It is especially fun when they walk right up to the camera, because the photos and videos feel like little snapshots of what they are doing during the day.

Dog Treat Camera Features
TherThe WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera includes several features that make it more than a basic pet camera. Along with letting you check in on your pets, it also gives you ways to interact with them, move the camera view, and send treats from your phone.
Some of the main features include:
- 1080 Full HD camera for a crisp, clear view
- 360-degree rotation for a fuller view of the room
- 4X digital zoom to get a closer look at your pets
- WiFi-enabled app control
- Wireless treat feeding
- Two-way communication
- Clear night vision
- Works with Alexa
- Suction cups for secure placement
Below are a few of the features that stood out most while we were using the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera at home.
Secure Placement
The dog treat camera comes equipped with four suction cups at its base to help secure placement
The WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera has four suction cups on the bottom to help keep it in place. This is a helpful feature if your pets are curious, excited about treats, or likely to nudge the camera while investigating it.
The suction cups attached quickly when I placed the camera on a smooth surface, and they gave the unit a more secure feel. For best results, I would use it on tile, wood, laminate, or another flat surface rather than thick carpet. Ensure the product is secure from any mischievous attempts from your pets. They work great and suction immediately when placed on a smooth surface.

Wireless Feeding and 360-Degree Camera
With the easy-to-use WOPet Smart App, you can check in on your pet through the camera, speak to them, and send a treat from your phone. The app also lets you rotate the camera 360 degrees, which helps you see more of the room instead of being stuck with one fixed view.
I liked that the controls were simple and easy to understand. From the app screen, you can take a photo, record video, use the microphone, listen through the speaker, rotate the camera, and press the treat button when you want to send your pet a snack.

1080 Full HD Camera and Photo Gallery
You can snap photos at any time by tapping the photo icon in the WOPet Smart App. The photos are automatically saved in the app’s photo gallery as well as on your phone’s camera roll, which makes it easy to keep cute moments without having to screenshot the live camera view.
The video feature works the same way, so you can record short clips of your pets during the day. This was one of the features I enjoyed most because it made the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera feel useful for more than just checking in; it also gave me a simple way to save little moments I might have missed.
Dog Treat Camera in Action
Dino was lucky this morning because he got to test the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera several times. We usually only give him a true treat in the morning, when he gets a natural dog biscuit with his daily supplement and dog toothpaste. During the day, what we call “treats” are usually just a little extra dog food.
For testing, we filled the dog treat camera with his regular food. WOPet recommends using treats instead of dog food because “tossing dog treats is more effective to get your dog’s attention when using the camera.” There was no technical issue using dog food, but treats may work better if your dog needs a little extra motivation.
For us, our Frenchie was perfectly happy with his regular food and still came over when the camera sent him a “treat.” WOPet suggests using treats between 2–15 mm in size, so smaller pieces are best for the dispenser.
In the video below, you can see how the treat feature works and how Dino reacted when the camera sent food his way.
We have really enjoyed having this option to check in on our pets throughout the day, capture fun photos and videos, and give Dino a treat. The camera made the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera especially useful because I was able to place it in a spot that had previously been a blind spot for us.
Dino loves to sun himself by the back patio doors, but Stevie’s cat tree blocks that area from our Ring camera. With the WOPet camera, we were able to place it in an inconspicuous spot where it stays out of the way, can still toss treats, and gives us the perfect view of Dino while he is relaxing in the sun.
Dog Treat Camera View From Our Perfect Spot
This view is exactly why the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera worked so well for us. Dino loves to stretch out in the sun by the back patio doors, but this spot is usually hard for our other cameras to see clearly because Stevie’s cat tree blocks part of the view.
By placing the WOPet camera nearby, we were able to check in on Dino while he was relaxing in one of his favorite sunny spots. It gave us a better angle, stayed out of the way, and still allowed us to send him a treat when we wanted to.

Final Verdict on the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera
Overall, the WOPet Guardian Dog Treat Camera ended up being a fun and useful way to check in on our pets during the day. I especially liked the 360-degree camera view, the ability to capture photos and videos, and the option to send Dino a treat from the app. It worked well in a spot where our other cameras do not give us the best view, which made it feel like more than just a novelty pet gadget.
If you are looking for a pet camera that lets you see, talk to, and treat your dog or cat while you are away, this is the type of product that can make checking in feel more interactive and personal.
