We have been using a WOPet automatic pet feeder in our home for years to feed both our cats and dogs, so I was already familiar with the brand before trying the updated F07 Pro model. When WOPet reached out to let me know they had improved the feeder with a new version, I was interested to see whether the changes would make a noticeable difference in everyday use.
At first glance, the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro looks very similar to the original feeder we already owned. After using it, though, the improvements became clear in the areas that matter most over time: removing the tray, accessing the food bin, cleaning the feeder, and using the updated app.
WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro
At first glance, the original WOPet automatic pet feeder and the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro look very similar. The original version is slightly taller, while the F07 Pro has a shorter, more compact design. The feeding tray also has a more square shape compared to the softer, rounded edges on the original model.
Those visual differences are easy to notice when the two feeders are placed side by side, but they are not the main reason the F07 Pro stands out. The most useful changes are in the everyday maintenance of the feeder, especially when it comes to removing the tray, accessing the food bin, and cleaning the parts that get used most often.
The original WOPet feeder is slightly taller, while the F07 Pro has a more compact shape and a more square feeding tray.
Ease of Removing the Tray
One of the biggest everyday improvements with the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro is the tray design. On the original feeder, the tray is held in place by two side clips. To remove it, you have to press the clip on one side and pull the tray out.
That may sound simple, but it became an issue for us over time. One of the clips on our original feeder broke while we were removing the tray. My son had the same problem with his feeder, and once the tray no longer clipped securely into the unit, his dog would constantly dislodge it during the day.
The F07 Pro uses a better design. Instead of side clips, the clips are located at the back of the unit. To attach the tray, you simply push it in until it catches. To remove it, you tilt the feeder back slightly and pull the tray out. It is a small change, but it makes the tray much easier to manage and feels less likely to wear out from regular cleaning.
Ease of Removing the Food Bin
Removing the food bin is another area where the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro feels like a real improvement. With the original feeder, taking the bin out for cleaning required a little more effort. I had to pick up the feeder, hold it against my chest, get a solid grip on the bin, and then pull it out.
The F07 Pro makes this much easier with a simple lock switch. Once the switch is unlocked, the food bin lifts out of the feeder without the same struggle. It is a practical update that makes routine cleaning feel quicker and less awkward.
Cleaning the Pet Feeder F07 Pro
Cleaning the inside mechanisms is one of the most noticeable differences between the original WOPet feeder and the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro. On the original version, the motor and dispenser area were covered by a white plastic casing that required removing tiny screws for a deeper clean.
The F07 Pro still has a protective plastic cover, but the design is much easier to access. Instead of dealing with small screws, the cover includes instructions for twisting it off so you can reach the inside area for cleaning. It is a much more practical design, especially if you like to clean the feeder thoroughly instead of only washing the tray and food bin.
New WOPet App
With the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro, WOPet also launched a new app for managing the feeder’s features. The app works very similarly to the previous version, but it is now easier to find because it is listed under the WOPet name in the app store.

Is the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro Worth It?
After using both versions, I think the WOPet Automatic Pet Feeder F07 Pro is a worthwhile update if you want an automatic feeder that is easier to clean and maintain. The feeding function is still what we liked about the original model, but the improved tray design, easier food bin removal, and better access for deeper cleaning make the F07 Pro more convenient for everyday use.
For our home, the biggest improvement is not a flashy new feature. It is the fact that the parts we remove and clean regularly are now easier to handle.
