I have been using the Living Proof PhD products for a couple of weeks now. I’m happy to report that I love them. I especially love the smell. My hair always smells so good when I’m finished washing it. I also find that the shampoo suds up with just a little dab. This seems to allow the shampoo to last longer. In fact, I’m still using the first bottles that were sent to me. This was after a few days and totally different style.
I’ve used both the 5-in-1 styling treatment and the style extender to help my hair look and feel better. I’ve always used some type of styling product, whether it is a cream or oil, to help tame the frizz. I’ve been experimenting with some different styling tools, and I believe that some of the amazing looks are due to the Living Proof PhD products.
I wish I could say that I was able to wash my hair less, but I pretty much stuck with my normal routine. I wash my hair every day and found that even after using the products, I still needed to keep up with this routine. I assume it is just due to my hormones. I recently changed hairdressers, and the first thing she said was that I had really nice hair. Even with my much-needed haircut, she said she was envious of the condition of my hair. Whether this had to do with the Living Proof products or not, I couldn’t say, but it was a nice compliment.
Note: Since the posting of this article, I have determined that the issue with my hair itching and needing to be washed each day was that I needed to hydrate. As soon as I started drinking a lot of water each day for an extended period of time, my scalp felt so much better and no longer needed to be washed every day.
Update 07/07/24: Since the posting of this article, Jennifer Aniston is no longer associated with Living Proof, they are now owned 100% by Unilever. It also appears they have done some reformulation with the products. I did see a more recent article from February 2023 regarding hair products she uses, and there were two Living Proof products still on her list. I have just purchased them myself, as my hair is terrible these days, and I really want to see if I can repair it and get it in better shape.
