When planning a cruise, the ports and food often get most of the attention, but the entertainment on board can make a big difference in the overall trip. During our 4-night mother-daughter cruise on Carnival Conquest, sailing from Miami to Key West and Cozumel, we had plenty of time to enjoy what the ship offered between meals, ports, and relaxing around the ship.
Since we have cruised on several Carnival ships, including Carnival Breeze and Carnival Imagination, I already had a good idea of the type of entertainment Carnival usually offers. Carnival Conquest had many of the familiar favorites, including bingo, Dive-In Movies, comedy shows, live entertainment, and of course, the casino.
If you are looking for the full ship experience, including food, rooms, ports, and what to expect overall, I also shared a separate Carnival Conquest cruise ship review. This post focuses specifically on the Carnival Conquest entertainment, shows, casino, and onboard activities.
Carnival Conquest Entertainment Overview
Carnival Conquest offers a mix of daytime activities, evening entertainment, casual fun, and nightlife. Like most cruises, the exact schedule can vary by sailing, so the best thing to do once you board is check the Carnival HUB App or the daily schedule for times and locations.
On our sailing, the entertainment included:
- Bingo
- Dive-In Movies
- Theater shows
- Punchliner Comedy Club
- Casino
- Music and nightlife
- Poolside activities
- Trivia and casual games
One thing I like about Carnival is that you can make the cruise as busy or as relaxed as you want. There is usually something going on somewhere, but you never feel like you have to do everything.
Does Carnival Conquest Have a Casino?
Yes, Carnival Conquest does have a casino, making it an easy onboard option for adults who enjoy slots, table games, or just walking through to take in the energy.
The Carnival Conquest casino has the classic cruise ship casino feel, with bright lights, plenty of energy, slot machines, and table games like blackjack, roulette, and poker. It is an easy place to walk through, watch for a few minutes, or sit down and play if you enjoy a little casino time at sea.
I have a love-hate relationship with cruise casinos. I love to play, but I hate to lose, and those two things seem to go hand in hand. I am not a big risk-taker, but I do enjoy playing the slots for fun.
Since my daughter was 18 on this cruise, she was able to enjoy the casino too. I am not going to mention how much we spent, but let’s just say I did not walk away any richer. My daughter, on the other hand, had a great run and turned $10 into $96, which made the casino a lot more fun for her than it was for me.
Even if you are not much of a gambler, the casino can still be a fun place to walk through and people-watch. There is always a lot going on, from the sounds of the slot machines to people cheering when someone wins.
Carnival Conquest Bingo
Bingo is one of those classic cruise activities that always seems to pull people in. During our first day on board Carnival Conquest, my daughter and I joined the Welcome Aboard Bingo.
It was a three-game session, and while we did not win, we came very close during the final game. The prize was $250 plus the bingo fanatic package for future bingo games, and we were only one number away when someone else shouted “BINGO!”

That is the fun and frustration of cruise bingo. You are sitting there convinced the next number is going to be yours, and then someone else wins. Even though we did not come away with the prize, it was a fun way to start the cruise and settle into vacation mode.
Bingo is usually an additional-cost activity, so it is something I would consider entertainment more than a must-do. If you enjoy games of chance and want a relaxed activity indoors, it is worth checking the schedule.
Carnival Conquest Dive-In Movies
One of my favorite casual entertainment options on Carnival ships is Dive-In Movies. On Carnival Conquest, movies played on the large screen above the main pool area.
During our cruise, there was a Dive-In Movie playing each night. My daughter and I went one evening to watch Barbie, and it was such a nice way to spend the night. Sitting outside on the upper deck with the ocean breeze, the pool nearby, and a movie playing under the stars is one of those simple cruise moments that feels different from anything you would do at home.

You can watch from a lounge chair, sit near the pool, or stop by for just part of the movie. It is relaxed, casual, and a good option if you want something low-key after dinner. This is also a nice family-friendly entertainment option because it does not require much planning. You can check what movie is playing, grab a spot, and enjoy the evening.
Carnival Conquest Shows
Carnival Conquest also offers theater-style entertainment and production shows. Carnival’s Playlist Productions are designed as musical stage shows with singers, dancers, and themed performances, although the exact shows can vary by ship and sailing.
On our cruise, I attended the late show “World Works Here.” I liked the idea of the theme because it focused on different nationalities and cultures, but the show itself was not my favorite. It felt more like a parade of flags with some singing rather than a full production.
I wanted to enjoy it more than I did. The concept had potential, but the performance did not feel as energetic or entertaining as I expected. The audience seemed to feel the same way because there was not a lot of interaction, clapping, or excitement during the show. Since I only attended one theater show during our sailing, I would not judge all of the Carnival Conquest shows based on that one performance.
If shows are important to you, I would check the schedule early in the cruise and pick at least one or two that sound interesting. Some are definitely worth making time for, while others may be more of a personal preference.
Punchliner Comedy Club on Carnival Conquest
The Punchliner Comedy Club is usually one of my favorite things to attend on a Carnival cruise. Comedy is always subjective, but when the comedian is good, it can be one of the best parts of the night.

On Carnival Conquest, I finally made it to the comedy club on the last evening while my daughter decided to rest. I first went to the 6:30 pm PG show, and I was a little disappointed. The comedian just was not someone I found very funny, and his delivery was not my style.
Later that night, I went back for the 10:30 pm comedy show, which included two comedians. The first comedian, Drew Fraser, was hilarious. I could not stop laughing, and I remember wishing my husband had been there because he would have enjoyed it too.
The second comedian was the same one from the earlier PG show. After his first opening joke, I decided to leave because I already knew his style was not for me.
That is the thing about comedy on a cruise. One comedian may not be your taste, and the next one may be the highlight of your evening. I still think the comedy club is worth checking out, especially if you enjoy live comedy. Just pay attention to whether the show is family-friendly or adults-only, because the tone can be very different.
Carnival Conquest Onboard Activities
The Carnival Conquest onboard activities are not limited to shows and the casino. Throughout the sailing, there were smaller activities happening around the ship, including games, trivia, music, poolside entertainment, and casual events hosted by the cruise director and entertainment staff.
We did not try to attend everything. On a shorter cruise, especially one with ports, it is hard to fit it all in. Some days we were busy off the ship, and other times we simply wanted to relax.
That is one thing I appreciate about cruising. You can join an activity every hour if that is your vacation style, or you can pick a few things and spend the rest of your time by the pool, eating, walking around the ship, or enjoying the ocean views.
For families cruising with kids, Carnival ships usually have plenty of youth and family entertainment options. When we cruised on the Breeze, I shared more about kids entertainment on Carnival Breeze, and while each ship is different, Carnival tends to offer activities for a variety of ages.
Our Honest Thoughts on Carnival Conquest Entertainment
Overall, the Carnival Conquest entertainment gave us plenty to do during our 4-night cruise. Some things were more enjoyable than others, but that is true on almost any cruise.
A few things stood out to me about the onboard entertainment:
- The casino was fun, especially for my daughter, who had a much better slot machine experience than I did.
- Dive-In Movies were relaxing, easy to enjoy, and a nice way to spend an evening outside.
- Bingo was fun even though we came up short.
- The comedy club was mixed, but one comedian made the night worth it.
- The theater show I attended was not my favorite, but I would still try another show on a future sailing.
For me, the best part of Carnival Conquest entertainment was having options. We could be social and join an activity, laugh at a comedy show, sit outside for a movie, or simply wander through the ship and enjoy the atmosphere.
If you are sailing on Carnival Conquest, I would recommend checking the daily schedule early, marking anything that interests you, and staying flexible. Some of the best cruise moments are planned, but others happen because you decide to stop by and see what is going on.
Is Carnival Conquest Entertainment Worth It?
Yes, I think the entertainment on Carnival Conquest is worth enjoying, especially if you go in knowing that not every show or activity will be your favorite. The ship offers a good mix of casual fun, evening shows, comedy, casino time, and low-key activities.
For a short cruise, there was enough to keep us entertained without feeling overwhelmed. For a longer sailing, I would probably make more of an effort to attend additional shows, trivia, and activities so I could experience even more of what the ship offered.
Carnival Conquest may not have been perfect in every entertainment category, but it still gave us plenty of fun moments, a few laughs, a relaxing movie night, and one very happy casino win for my daughter. For a mother-daughter cruise, that was more than enough to make the onboard experience memorable.
