We loved this Buttermilk Banana Bread Recipe.
The week before Christmas my husband and I did our normal Sunday grocery shopping. Like every week my husband picked out his weekly supply of bananas. He eats bananas at snack time every day. I believe he had hopes of continuing his same eating plan while on vacation. He started vacation 12/24 and is off of work until 1/2. By the end of the week I had 4 very ripe bananas.
So what do you do when you have a bunch of ripe bananas? You make banana bread of course! Now I don’t have any recipes for banana bread. I have my grandmother’s awesome strawberry bread recipe but not one for bananas. So I did what anyone would do and searched Pinterest. That is what you would do right? My daughter and I looked through the many recipes and decided on one from a site that I know is known for their wonderful recipes.

I would share the recipe with you here but it is not mine so instead let me show you were to get it…
Buttermilk Banana Bread from Two Peas & Their Pod
I asked my husband how the bread was and got his standard answer, “It’s alright.” However he promptly got up and cut himself two more pieces so I believe it was better than alright. I had a piece myself which I warmed up in the microwave and added some butter and it was awesome! I added walnuts because it just seemed like the right thing to do!
More from Pinterest…
Pinterest is going to become my friend in 2014. I do not care to cook, I would prefer to make a Halloween costume or design a website. However I need to weed out a lot of the junk food we live on and start cooking a lot more. Therefor I will be visiting Pinterest quite often to find some yummy recipes to test out on the Shibley family!
