We may live in South Florida but we are no stranger to Orlando. One of the benefits of living in the Sunshine state, besides the sunshine, is our ability to visit major theme parks any time we want. Over the past three in a half years I’ve blogged about trips to Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and many more Orlando hot spots. It seems to be our choice to vacation quite often. It has everything I kid could dream of. I was recently sent some information on a brand new resort opening up in Universal Orlando called Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
Universal Orlando Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is celebrating its 2014 opening with an incredible preview offer, allowing guests to be among the first to experience Universal Orlando’s new moderate-and value-priced property, inspired by iconic beach resorts of the 1950’s and 60’s.
The all-new family suites sleep up to six, surrounding guests with bold design, period colors, neon and a cool retro feel. The suites also feature a kitchenette with microwave, mini-refrigerator and sink. Combining affordability with convenience, the hotel’s location is within walking distance of both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Plus, hotel guests enjoy Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter one hour before the theme park opens.
Let me point out a few key features here for our family at least. It sleeps up to six. This is an important feature because many hotels only sleep 4 and we are forced to purchase another room which makes our stay very expensive. Early Park Admission, definitely a feature that is worth its prize in gold. Especially to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There are many areas in this attraction that have lines hours long. Last but not least I’m kinda loving the whole neon retro feel. My daughter is very into neon these days and I think she will love it!
For a limited time, the whole family can experience Cabana Bay Beach Resort’s new family suites with rates starting at $104 per night for a seven-night stay to $134 per night for a three-night stay. Offering up to 47 percent savings off regular prices, this introductory offer is available now for purchase for stays from March 31 to June 14, 2014. Full details are below.
Trust me, those prices are a steel if you are looking for anything more than a room with a bed or two.
Cabana Bay Beach Resort is Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth on-site hotel with striking color schemes and nifty, nostalgic details throughout the décor. The new, 1800-room hotel features moderately priced family suites available this spring at the special preview price and value-priced guest rooms available in summer of 2014 along with a wealth of recreation. When complete, guests can experience a 10-lane bowling alley and enjoy two massive pools with sand beaches, a lazy river, water slide and more.
Did you catch that last sentence? A resort with a bowling alley? My son, who is on his school bowling team, would be in heaven. A beach for mom, and lazy river for mom and dad to sneak away while the kids play, and a water slide sure to entertain any child or adult. I have to say this resort sounds like an attraction itself. I think you would need to stay an extra day or two just to enjoy all that it has to offer!
