How I wish the food had not effect on your weight and overall health. If we could just eat what we wanted and not worry about any consequences how awesome would that be? However we all know that is not the case, what we eat is a balancing act between eating primarily healthy and sneaking in a few treats here and there. This is not something I’m very good at. Most of my problem is I’m not prepared and usually grab food that is easy. I really need to work on this as I am finding my weight sometimes holds me back from doing things, and it is not a good example for my children. This is why I decided to kick off my healthy eating with WeighFast from WeightNot now HIIP.
WeighFast from WeightNot (HIIP)
WeighFast is a two-day detox program to help kick-start your weight loss journey. Have you ever tried a detox program before? I have in the past and though they are sometimes tough knowing it is only a couple of days I can stick to it. I wholeheartedly believe in a detox program as I think it rids your body of toxins, helps keep cravings at bay, and gets your body ready for the path of eating better.
On average U.S. consumers ingest 124 pounds of toxins each year in their food alone, and this has the potential to overwhelm their liver. Circulating and stored toxins can result in a range of chronic health, cognitive and metabolic issues – however these problems CAN be reversed through a well structured detoxification regimen that supports the liver in effectively eliminating those toxins.
I decided that it would work best if I started the program on a weekend so I wouldn’t be tempted by goodies at work. After reading the program details I decided I would definitely add the optional almond milk or pure fruit juice to my Thinnerhealth drink. I figured it tasted a little better. So for my morning drink, I tried almond milk.
Thinnerhealth with Almond Milk
I drank it down with no problems it didn’t taste bad or good it was doable. Even with the almond milk, I could still taste the Thinnerhealth powder. Your first drink is two scoops of the Thinnerhealth with either water, almond milk, or pure juice. On the weekends I often forget to eat because I’m pretty busy so I drank and went on with my day. I will be honest and say I did often think of eating because I missed the actual act of eating.
In between the Thinnerhealth drink is the Satisfiber which is supposed to help with hunger. It does help but I did find myself still hungry. The Satisfiber had an interesting taste and made me think of gingerbread. Too bad this one can only be mixed with water. For my lunch, I decided to mix the Thinnerhealth with pure juice.
ThinnerHealth with juice
I think I preferred the pure juice over the almond milk but I plan on using them both to add variety. The program consists of 3 Thinnerhealth drinks and 3 Satisfiber drinks. If you would like to learn more about Weighfast I suggest you check out their website. In addition to the drinks, you are supposed to get in 10,000 steps a day. This is tough if you don’t usually walk as most individuals get in around 3,000-4,000 a day. My children wanted to take a walk Saturday night so this helped me get in my steps and spend time with the kids.
Sunday morning I weighed myself and found that I had lost 1.8 lbs. I was not surprised as it is hard not to lose weight when you start a detox program such as this. My overall opinion is this is definitely a doable detox program. The drinks are easy to drink and only having to do it two days makes it pretty easy to follow.
