Best Cities for families

Are you ready to relocate with your family? Maybe you’re looking to move into the biggest city on the West Coast, and Atelier apartments in downtown LA seem like the perfect luxury setting for you and your loved ones. If you’re planning a move, consider hiring Los Angeles Movers to make the transition smoother. Their expertise can save you time and effort when moving into or around such a busy city.

Well, there are plenty of great cities all over the US to consider. Los Angeles is only one amazing location out of hundreds of them. But today we’re going to tell you about the best cities to consider because if you’re going to move somewhere new and different, it might as well be fun, exciting, affordable, and absolutely worth your while.

With that said, we’ll take a look at some of the top places to consider moving to with your family and loved ones. Look over our list, see the reasons we’ve chosen them, and decide which option best meets your needs.

best cities

Austin, Texas

We love recommending Austin, Texas, because it’s one of the biggest up-and-coming cities with plenty of great residential options. We also love shouting about Austin from the mountaintops because the food in this city is absolutely divine. But besides the great-tasting food, you’ll also like relocating here as an adult because the median home price is relatively low at $325,000, and the average family income in the area is about $88,000, so a home like this is more than affordable.

And let’s not forget about the current job situation, because it’s definitely good and it will continue to be on the rise. Projected job growth for the next five years is expected to reach 11%, so you should have no problem finding a job that pays well in this community. Even better, unemployment rates a really low at less than 3%, which is well below the national average and something to be proud of.

Raleigh, North Carolina

Our next excellent recommendation is Raleigh, North Carolina. For starters, the median home price in the area is $263,000. Yet the average family income is a little bit above $82,000. So you should have no trouble making payments on your mortgage, car insurance, and other important bills, and still have plenty of money left to save for your retirement.

The job market is also thriving in this community. For the next five years, the projected job growth will reach 10%, so lots of available jobs will be available to new people just moving into the community. And over five years prior, job growth was at a nearly unprecedented 17.25%, which means there is plenty of work – and high-paying work at that – for everyone. Sales tax is only 7.25% which is about average, and property taxes will cost around $2600, which is actually pretty cheap compared to other places like Westchester County in New York.

best cities

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Last but certainly not least, Virginia Beach, Virginia, is certainly a wonderful place to live for a wide range of reasons. For starters, the average family income is roughly $83,000, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at. And since the median home price is only $255,000, you should have no problem doing the math and realizing that homes are very cheap compared to the average salary.

Job growth is a bit slow in the area because it’s only projected to go up another 2 ½% over the next five years. So if you are relocating to the area, make sure you secure a job ahead of time just to be on the safe side. If you’re considering making a move to Northern Virginia, a region that boasts strong schools, family-friendly communities, and proximity to Washington, D.C., it might be wise to work with a Northern Virginia realtor.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, we shared three wonderful, thriving cities that make excellent places to relocate to if you’re in the mood for a change of pace. So think about the options we’ve shared today and choose wisely based on your personal and family needs, wants, and desires.
