A Shibley Smiles Christmas PoeM
Twas the night before Christmas, one girl and two boys
Were merrily chatting and thinking of toys.
Excitement and laughter carried the halls
Small little voices penetrated the walls.
“Children!” Mom said as she poked in her head.
Santa won’t come if you don’t get to bed.
<———————>
Mom left them to sleep as she retreated away
Wishing that Santa would come on his sleigh.
Weeks of shopping and searching, and finding good deals
Soon would bring smiles and tiny cute squeals.
Christmas morning brings promises full of great joys
For the cute little girl and two grown-up boys.
<———————>
Milk and cookies for Santa arranged on a dish
And visions of games, bikes, dolls, how they wish.
The children will talk, laugh, and play through the night.
Which suits mom just fine as long as they don’t fight.
She remembers the days when sleep would not come
But now Mom just wishes she could get some.

Christmas is fun, love, peace and great cheer
It is the children’s favorite day of the year!
And if mom has to admit it, if only to you
It is her favorite day of the year too!
It’s for family and friends coming from miles
And a day when she is sure to see Shibley Smiles!
