Our family headed to Orlando for the first weekend of spring break looking for a little fun and relaxation, and Caribe Royale Orlando gave us both. With five people traveling together, having enough room matters, and the all-suite setup immediately made this hotel a better fit for us than a traditional single-room accommodation.
We loved our stay at Caribe Royale. The suite gave everyone room to spread out, the kids had plenty to keep them entertained, and the pool area made it easy to slow down between busy Orlando activities. We had the opportunity to stay as guests of the resort, and it quickly felt like more than simply a place to sleep during our trip.
Our Caribe Royale Suite
One of my favorite things about our suite was the separation between the bedroom and living area. With three kids, having everyone in one room can get crowded quickly, so being able to divide the space made our stay much more comfortable.
My oldest son was especially happy when he realized he would have his own television instead of sharing one with his father. My youngest was perfectly content sleeping in the second queen bed and falling asleep while Dad watched sports.
That extra space also gave us somewhere to relax when we weren’t out exploring Orlando. There was no need for everyone to sit on beds or try to find a corner of the room to unwind.
And then there was the bed. The comforter was so comfortable that I wanted to know where Caribe Royale bought it. I joked that I would happily have stuffed one into my suitcase and taken it home.

Pool Time and a Waterslide the Kids Loved
Once we were settled in, the boys headed over to the basketball courts while Honey and I went down to the pool. I put on my swimsuit planning to get in, but I ended up enjoying myself just as much sitting back and watching her have fun.
The large free-form pool had a peaceful, kid-friendly atmosphere with tropical landscaping and a beautiful waterfall around the other side. My daughter and youngest son especially loved the waterslide, which quickly became their favorite part of the resort.
Family Activities Without Leaving the Resort
One of the things I appreciated about Caribe Royale was that the kids didn’t need us to plan every minute for them. There were enough activities around the property that everyone naturally found something they wanted to do.
During our stay, some of the family favorites included:
- swimming in the large resort pool
- racing back to the waterslide again and again
- playing basketball
- relaxing around the pool between activities
- enjoying the view from our room
We didn’t have enough time to try every amenity available at the resort. The fitness center, spa, business center, tennis courts, and other activities would have been especially nice during a longer stay.
Watching the Pool from Above
Our tenth-floor room overlooked the pool, giving us a great view of the resort’s outdoor amenities. While the kids and I were downstairs swimming, my husband could see us from the room and would text me about what everyone was doing.
The kids thought they were off enjoying the pool and waterslide while Dad somehow knew exactly what they were up to. It became one of those funny family moments that made our stay especially memorable.

Little Touches That Made the Stay Special
After swimming, we went back to our room and found welcome gifts waiting for us. Milk and cookies are a pretty simple combination, but after an afternoon at the pool they felt like the perfect treat.
Those little extras added to the resort experience. Caribe Royale already impressed us with the spacious accommodations and amenities, but thoughtful touches made the room feel even more welcoming.
Later that evening, we headed to the House of Blues at Downtown Disney for dinner. That combination of resort time and Orlando entertainment worked really well for our family. We could enjoy the property without feeling like we had to stay there all day.
Breakfast at Tropicale
The next morning we headed to Tropicale for the breakfast buffet. I love a good buffet because everyone can choose what they want, which is especially convenient when you’re feeding an entire family.
There was plenty to choose from, but my favorite was the French toast sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was exactly the kind of breakfast I wanted before another full Orlando day.
Having breakfast right at the resort also meant we could eat, gather what we needed for the day, and head out without adding another stop to the morning.
Caribe Royale as Our Home Base for Orlando
Our trip wasn’t just about enjoying the hotel. We also spent an afternoon at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, so we had a good mix of resort relaxation and theme park excitement.
If you’re building a similar trip, planning an Orlando vacation around both resort time and attractions can keep every day from feeling rushed. We enjoyed being able to spend the day at the parks and return to a spacious suite where everyone could relax.

Caribe Royale worked well as our home base because we could spend the day exploring Orlando and come back to a spacious suite where everyone had room to relax. After a busy day at the parks, having separate living and sleeping areas made returning to the hotel feel much more comfortable.
For families looking for something different between theme park days, Exploring the Wonders at WonderWorks Orlando is another way to add indoor family fun to an Orlando trip.
What Stood Out During Our Stay
Caribe Royale worked particularly well for us because it covered several things we wanted from a family hotel without making us choose between comfort and fun.
| What Mattered to Us | What We Enjoyed |
|---|---|
| Space for five people | Separate bedroom and living area |
| Activities for the kids | Pool, waterslide and basketball |
| A relaxing atmosphere | Tropical pool area and waterfall |
| Convenient dining | Breakfast at Tropicale |
| Comfortable accommodations | Plenty of room and an incredibly comfortable bed |
| Orlando location | Easy to combine resort time with theme park days |
What really made the difference was that staying at the hotel never felt like downtime we simply had to fill. The kids genuinely wanted to spend time there.

A Resort the Whole Family Enjoyed
Our family vacations tend to work best when everyone finds something they enjoy, and Caribe Royale managed that easily. The boys had basketball, Honey and her brother loved the pool and waterslide, my husband enjoyed being able to relax in the room, and I appreciated having enough space that five people weren’t constantly on top of one another.
I also loved that the atmosphere felt peaceful even though the resort was family-friendly. There was plenty happening, but we could still relax.
Our Caribe Royale Orlando Review
We genuinely loved our stay at Caribe Royale Orlando. The suite was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, and having a separate living area made traveling with three children much easier.
The pool and waterslide were obvious winners with the kids, but it was the overall combination that made the resort stand out for me. We could relax at the hotel, let the kids enjoy themselves, have breakfast without leaving the property, and still be close enough to spend the day enjoying Orlando’s attractions.
Caribe Royale gave us exactly what we wanted for our spring break getaway: a very nice hotel, plenty of family fun, and enough space to make the entire stay comfortable.
