Cinch Diet Review Day 6: Core Program
Can I just say to all of you that today was a great day on the Cinch diet! My food (most of it) was just delicious! I had no problems staying 100% true today. I’m sure it had to do with transitioning from the 5-Day Fast Forward to the Core Program and getting a little variety into my meals.
Day 6 Breakfast
Blueberry Smoothie and Almond Toast: The smoothie, well that doesn’t do well if you don’t drink it right after you blend it, or at least that is what I’m assuming. I made it, packed it up, went to work, and then tried to drink it. That did not work at all. So today I’m going to try to get it in as soon as it is blended and see if that does better. Toast with Almond butter was a very nice change for breakfast.
Day 6 Lunch
Lunch: Chilled Herb Chicken Pasta Salad (with a few modifications)
Chilled Herb Chicken Pasta Salad (with a few modifications). My modifications were that I used broccoli instead of the vegetables in the recipe. I also used basil and olive oil instead of the herbs suggested. However, all of what I had was on the list of acceptable foods. Very good, I have made this before so this wasn’t a new recipe for me.
Day 6 Snack
Cinnamon Walnut Apple Crisp: This tied as my favorite meal of the day! Definitely a sweet and satisfying treat for the day. I loved the crunch from the walnuts and oats with the baked apple.
Day 6 Dinner
Black Bean Tacos with Cilantro-Jalapeno Guacamole (with a few modifications): This along with the snack was my favorite meal today. Oh, this was so extremely tasting! My modification was I used kidney beans instead of black beans. I’m not a huge fan of black beans but I LOVE kidney beans.
After Dinner Delight
And of course, don’t forget your daily dose of dark chocolate!
Thoughts After First Day on the Core Program
As hard as the 5-Day Fast Forward was to follow, regarding the limited food and not such great flavor (to me). It served a much higher purpose to me and what I believe it was designed for. Yes, it motivated me with the rapid weight loss, but I’m a logical person and I know any diet you begin you usually lose the most pounds in the first week due to water and waste loss. However, what was even more important was how it detoxed my body so I could enjoy the food on day 6. Your taste buds go through a change not having sugar and other preservatives for 5 days so the foods seem much more flavorful and enjoyable. I had no cravings for food off the diet and my hunger was stable the whole day.
