Cinch Diet Review Day 2: 5-Day Fast Forward
Another day under my belt and I’m happy to share with you my day 2 progress on the Cinch diet. Today was a much better day than yesterday regarding the taste of my meals. I’m contributing that largely to the raspberry dilemma and the ridding of sugar.
Cynthia’s Personal Advice on My Bad Raspberries
As for my raspberry dilemma, I actually spoke with Cynthia Sass via email about it. Not used to purchasing frozen fruit I wasn’t sure if what I was experiencing was normal or a case of bad fruit. She thought it was possible that the fruit may have at one time become unfrozen and spoiled. From the smell of the fruit, I believe this is very possible.
Why Raspberries over Blueberries
She said if I was having a hard time finding good raspberries I could switch to blueberries since they are less delicate. Blueberries do have a little less fiber than raspberries but hold many of the same other properties. What I’ve decided to do is buy some fresh raspberries and combine them with frozen blueberries. The reason for the frozen fruit versus fresh fruit is purely an economical choice.
Day 2 Breakfast
For breakfast yesterday since I was not entirely happy with the taste of the spinach cooked in the egg I decided to eat my egg separately and eat the spinach with almonds as a salad with balsamic vinegar. I ate the raspberries (fresh) as a side. I also added pepper to my egg. It was much more enjoyable than yesterday’s breakfast.
Day 2 Lunch
For lunch, I had my parfait with a mix of fresh blueberries and raspberries. I included both cinnamon and nutmeg this time. It was definitely much better than yesterday. I’m not sure I’m a fan of Greek yogurt, plain may have tasted better to me but since I purchased all the Greek yogurt I needed it is going to have to do. Greek yogurt does have a lot more protein than the plain and I really like that added benefit.
Day 2 Dinner & Snack
For dinner and my snack, I did not change anything other than I decided to eat the almond butter separately from the smoothie as a treat. I am looking forward to the 5-Day Fast Forward end and on to a little more variety.
Food
The meals were definitely easier to eat, LOVED the fresh raspberries and the lunch was definitely a lot tastier. Not exciting as the no sugar makes it a little tougher to swallow but much better than yesterday.
Mood
I was in a good mood. No energy problems or mood swings. However, I do tend to get pretty hungry before it is time for dinner.
How I felt Physically
I can feel the weight loss (or water loss) in my tummy area which is great because my clothes are fitting a little better. It is definitely motivating to see the numbers drop and a good kickstart to my weight loss.
