We purchased our house in May of 2014 and while we would love to upgrade many things our wallet says….HOLD YOUR HORSES! We have gotten a few things done over the years like a new coat of paint. My heart was set on a beautiful pool and patio area. Other then still waiting on installing an outdoor kitchen our pool and patio is finally a beautiful oasis.
Before Patio Pavers
Many years ago we redid our patio and installed pavers. Previously we had stamped concrete and our covered patio and pool deck did not match, maybe that was an 80’s thing (our house was built in 1987) but it was not a Shibley thing!
Above you can see the white stamped concrete patio. That triangle of dirt use to be home to a palm tree. While the palm tree was a nice focal point for the patio trees and pools do not mix. The palm tree growth cracked a pipe and the pool began losing water. We decided it was best to remove the tree so there would be no further issues. In the photo below you can see the difference in the flooring under the covered patio.
After Patio Pavers
My husband works for a company that manufactures pavers so he had design control (with my blessing) on the color and patter choice. The pavers turned out beautifully and really started bringing our patio together. Our pavers were installed by Deck & Drive.
