I can’t believe I have been blogging for 14 years! Through that time I have shared many adventures, travels, product reviews, and family stories. My oldest son was just 12 years old when I created Shibley Smiles and has been featured in many of my posts. 14 years later on June 8, 2024, my not-so-little boy at the age of 26 married his soulmate. As a mother, I can not express the joy of watching your child take this step and feel so blessed that he is loved so deeply and beginning this new chapter.
Beautiful Maine Wedding
After grey skies and a rainy morning, we were blessed with blue skies during the wedding ceremony. The ceremony took place against a backdrop of luscious green trees in my son’s backyard. The wedding could not have been more beautiful or more perfect for my adventurous child and his bride-to-be. Their love of nature and the outdoors brought them to the state of Maine, which is unfortunately way too far away from Florida. However, they have thrived there and my son loves it so much more than Florida that I am happy he has found joy in his new home state.
Blessed Mother & Son
My daughter-in-law is an amazing person. She is the most loving and caring person I know and I am grateful that she is the one to love and take care of my son going forward. As a mother, it is hard to give those reigns to another person but it is easy when you know that person loves your son with all their heart.
Life Promise
I only foresee great things for these two and look forward to the future they are building together. My son and his bride have been together for over 4 years and got engaged three years ago. There is a new planned addition expected this September and it was their decision to bind their love with marriage prior to their arrival.
