You image falling leaves, a cool breeze, and the delicious taste of Glazed Pumpkin Raisin Cookies with Pumpkin Pie Icing.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups shortening
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups raisins

Frosting

  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 tsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Cream shortening, sugar, and pumpkin
  • Add eggs and mix well
  • Add sifted dry ingredients and raisins
  • Drop onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes

Frosting

  • Heat butter, milk, and brown sugar until dissolved
  • Cool and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  • Spread on warm cookies
