Materials

  • Old Crayons
  • Silicone Mold of your choice
  • Knife optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Peel wrapper off of crayons (I used a knife to make this step a little easier).
  • Break crayons into pieces and add to mold. Make any color combination you would like.
  • Fill mold almost to the top.
  • When all molds are fill put into the oven for 10-12 minutes.
  • Once crayons are completely melted take out and let set for 10 minutes (to harden).
  • Move molds to freezer for 15-10 minutes to completely harden.
  • Pop crayons out of molds carefully.

Notes

Note: Cost and times vary depending on how many crayons you have to peel,  how many new crayons you create, and how many different molds you choose. This project can have a budget of $0 to as high as the molds you purpose for this project.
