If you ask my mother what your favorite kind of cereal is she will answer “Lucky Charms”. I remember as a child there was always box of Lucky Charms in the house. I also enjoyed it myself and loved when the marshmallows were dunked in the milk and they combined with the crunchy cereal in a big bowl of milk. I have always been a cereal lover and when I lived on my own would often eat cereal for dinner. In fact, if you look in our pantry today you will probably find five boxes of different cereals.
My youngest son is a big cereal lover and Lucky Charms was also one of his favorites. However I can’t tell you how many times I would grab a box of Lucky Charms and pour myself a bowl and only find a couple marshmallows. We all know that the marshmallows are the best part of the cereal. Now why would there only be a couple in my bowl? This would be my sneaky son who would pour himself a bowl and pick out all the marshmallows and put the rest of the cereal back.
I’ve always wondered why Lucky Charms never came out with a snack pack of their marshmallows as I think they would fly off the shelves. You can’t tell me I’m the only mom who’s child would pick out all the marshmallows and leave the rest floating in a bowl of milk? When I heard that General Mills was giving away a box of Lucky Charms Marshmallow Only, I thought I so have to have this box. Right now at participating Walmarts you can pick up a specially marked box of Lucky Charms, while supplies last, and grab a promo code to enter to see if you have won the elusive box of Lucky Charms Marshmallows Only.
When my husband and I were doing our weekly shopping at Walmart I saw the specially marked box and had to grab one because how I would love to give my son a box of Lucky Charms Marshmallows Only. It became a running joke in our house “who ate all the marshmallows?” I got my box and went to the sweepstakes page to enter my promo code found inside the box.
After a quick game of match the marshmallow (which has no bearing on your ability to win) the moment of truth was presented. All I had to do was hit the next button to find out if I had won. Drum roll please………..
Darn, I didn’t win! But that means you still have a chance to win, you can enter up to 40 times!
