Last week I headed to Kohl’s to take part in my next mission as a Kohl’s Fashion Ambassador. I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous because our mission was to select two dresses and create six fresh new looks. I rarely wear dresses. I think it is because I’m just more comfortable in slacks. Oh who am I kidding I’m more comfortable in pj’s LOL. However I ended up trying on several different dresses and was please with how some of them looked. I narrowed it down to two dresses with the help of Honey. I absolutely LOVE this Maxi dress I selected from Apt. 9. So lets check out the three different looks I was able to create with just this one dress.
When I saw this dress I thought airy, spring, and light. So I threw my hair up and added some flip flops. This is a look I would wear to the beach over my swimsuit or just lounging around the house or pool.
To dress up the look I added a black belt and a pair of high heel shoes. Now I’m ready for dinner with my hubby, preferably at a restaurant on the beach!
Using the same dress I am not transformed into a little bit warmer outfit. I’ve thrown on a black cover up and some boots. Now if it is a cool spring night I will be comfortable. The next dress I selected is a classic. You know the little black dress that every girl should have in their closet. With it being such a neutral color it is easy to create many different looks. I narrowed it down to just three.
Ready for the work day I have added a simple pair of pumps that will be comfortable yet complete the look.
To add just a little color to my little black dress I have now paired it with a pink necklace (also purchased at Kohl’s) and added a bright pink belt. This little bit of color really gives the outfit a whole knew feel don’t you think?
My little black dress is now a little black skirt. I simply added an everyday blouse over the black Apt. 9 dress to change up my work look just a little. All of these looks were created with just a simple switch out of accessories or shoes. It is so easy to stretch your wardrobe with just a few additional pieces.
