My mom LOVES to do the Throwback Thursday thing. This means I’m often seeing photos of me from my school years on Facebook. It is such a fun concept looking back and sharing memories from the past. Often our fond memories of people and events make up who we are today. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and sometimes I would agree. Ten years ago, and honestly I can’t believe it has been that long, my stepfather passed away from cancer. The Christmas before he gave my sister and I some gifts that we will always cherish. One of them was a locket, filled with his picture so that he will always be close to our hearts. The second was a photo keepsake box with a very old Throwback Thursday type photo of him, my sister, and myself.

As you can see after 10 years it has a little wear on it, but that just adds to it’s character. I’ve had this box in my bathroom area for quite sometime and I like to keep some of my most used jewelry in it, like the locket I mentioned and a pair of diamond earrings my mother gave me made out of the diamonds in my stepfather’s wedding ring.
When CVS asked me to be a Throwback Thursday Photo campaign leader I knew exactly how I wanted to showcase my new Thursday Throwback photo. I decided to do the same thing for my daughter. My photo is only a year old but in future years it will be an authentic Throwback Thursday photo keepsake box that my daughter can cherish like I do.

She was happy to receive her photo keepsake box that we got at CVS and decided to add some of her favorite items to the box for safe keeping.
She loves having a box similar to her mothers. Hopefully she will take care of it and keep it for many years to come and remember the trip to the Cayman Islands that she took with the family (which is where the photo was taken). This is just one of many photo products that you can purchase to capture your memories in keepsakes at CVS. I made a beautiful photo book last year of our vacation at CVS and it is always fun to pull it out and flip through it remember the great time we had.
One of my favorite items that I think is a hot item right now (pun intended) is the beach towels. Since we have a pool and are often found splashing around on the weekends a beach towel with my babies would be a great gift (hint! hint!). Since my mother is a huge fan of the beach I could see purchasing her, a beach towel with a photo of all four of her grandkids. CVS photo is a great way to take your Throwback Thursday photos and others and create the perfect keepsake.
