Last Friday the family and I headed down to Miami to meet up with 4 other Denny’s Ambassadors. The kids were excited about eating at Denny’s even if it was a long ride to get there. I left a little early hoping to beat any traffic there. However we found ourselves here at one point…
We were about 15 minutes late but Seth was so nice and said it was not a problem at all. We were each able to eat with our families and enjoy our dinner before we got together to learn and discuss all things Denny’s. My daughter enjoyed her usually spaghetti and meatballs and the boys their chicken fingers. I always try something new but find that my favorite is always the breakfast and the amazing pancake puppies!
After dinner was had we got together to learn about the history of Denny’s and to discuss our thoughts as Ambassadors with the team. They wanted to know what we thought worked, what caught our eye, and what was just so-so. Did you know that Denny’s was not always called Denny’s?
Danny’s Donuts (a.k.a Denny’s)
Denny’s use to be known as Danny’s Donuts until a local shop claimed they were Danny’s. So Danny’s Donuts did the next best thing and changed the A to an E to become Dennys! I thought this was so fun tidbits about Denny’s probably information must people don’t know. Denny’s is one of the small number for restaurants that can say they are in all 50 states. Though some states many only have one (like Wyoming) they are represented country wide. As you can see there is a large concentration in LA, Florida in the North east.
Tour De Force
As we sat and got to know Denny’s we were all able to give our opinions about what types of campaigns and advertising they run that we thought worked well. Being the consumer and some of the target audience I think our feedback was well appreciated. Denny’s works with many organizations to help their community and to reach you the consumer. One of the campaigns I thought was really cool is the Tour De Force which is a bicycle ride with police offers. I think if I were walking down the street and saw this it would take my breath away. There is always something about honoring those that protect us.
For those of you that are basketball fan’s Denny’s realizes what a great pair a sports team and a Denny’s can be together. In Miami they have teamed up with the Miami Heat to bring you great savings while you enjoy a basketball game, or after the game.
They are also running an amazing campaign called No Kid Hungry and I will be posting about that soon. We all had a great time during our meet up and it was great to share ideas and have your opinions listened too. This is one of the amazing things about being a blogger.

As a Denny’s Ambassador I was compensated for my time, however all opinions are my own. .
