Two weeks ago I mentioned how easy it was to use the RealPlayer Cloud app on your phone to take and share videos easily and securely. Using the RealPlayer Cloud app allows you to free up space on your phone by storing them in your RealPlayer account. You can still easily access your videos just as if they were on your phone. In fact, I ran into this over the Thanksgiving holiday. I wanted to show my sister a video of my daughter twirling. Out of habit I went to my phone and saw that I had deleted the video. I then went to find it on YouTube because I had uploaded there. However I waited and waited….and waited for my phone to try to load the video. Then it hit me! I had uploaded the video to my RealPlayer account. The video played for us instantly and the great thing is no one but those that I share the video with had access to it.
This is not the only advantage of using the RealPlayer Cloud app. If you have a Roku 2 you can watch your videos on your TV. We loved this option and it was like reliving our cruise in fun video clips. We love our Roku 2 or should I say three of them. My oldest son received one first and uses it daily to watch his shows on Hulu Plus. My youngest son loves to use his to find videos. I like it because I just have to every cool gadget there is!
We easily added the RealPlayer Cloud channel to our Roku 2.
It was very simple to do so. We simply searched and immediately the RealPlayer Cloud channel came up. I added it to my account and then had to verify it on my computer. Once it was added I was able to go in and view all my videos.
My daughter had no desire to see herself on TV (she is just shy like that) so instead we watched some videos taken during our summer cruise.
The videos were a little distorted but I assume that is due to the size of my TV versus the size of the video. This is great for sharing your memories and videos with family. No longer do you have to pass around your phone for each person to watch the video. Now you can just bring them up on your TV and all enjoy, laugh, and make wise cracks (after all we are family) together!
