Today marks another year passed after the horrific day of September 11, 2001. I write this post as my husband sits behind me watching show after show of the events that day. As you read this post I will be sitting at my desk at work next to my co-worker who was in the towers that very day. My co-worker who ignored the voices that told everyone to return to their desk, and instead left the building. My co-worker who is my co-worker today because he survived.
On the third anniversary of the attacks of 9/11 we observed moments of silence at 8:46, 9:03, 9:59 and 10:29 a.m. — the precise times that the two planes crashed into the buildings and when they collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001.
During out trip to New York, we took the family to observe the 9/11 memorial, the new Freedom Tower, and the reflection pools that all stand in memory of those that lost their lives on that fateful day. To our heroes that day and each day forward God Bless You for your sacrifices and all that you do.
