What is one thing a girl can never have to many of? I am sure there are several answers to this question, one of them being SHOES. I would say I have a moderate amount of shoes but if you ask my husband he will tell you that I need a bigger closet or maybe even a second room to store all of them. When my husband and I got together, I had to move some of my shoes to another closet to make room for him. He asked me that day, “Do you really need all of these shoes?” I am sure by the look on my face he was sorry he even asked that question. Yy reply I thought was perfect, I said,” I don’t know do you really need all of those screwdrivers?” Point taken was his reply. My shoes were never a topic of conversation again.
One more humorous story about my shoes. I recently moved, with my son in laws help, and Chris was carrying in a rather large, heavy box. As he sat it down he looked at what was written on the top. There displayed in black marker was SHOE. He looked at me and said “Is this entire box full of shoes?” I said yes that is one of the boxes. He shook his head and walked away saying “I thought Colleen had a lot of shoes.”
My daughters didn’t seem to get the shoe gene, but as genes often do it definitely skipped a generation because my one and only grand daughter Honey, well to put it bluntly she is a shoe freak! She is only 8 years old and already her closet is full of all kinds of shoes, boots, and flip flops and they are very stylish too. I think she might even have me beat!
I am always on the look out for fashionable and unique footwear when I am out shopping or on the Internet for myself or for Honey. I found this awesome site the other night while surfing the net called Reef.com.
