This post brought to you by LEGO. All opinions are 100% mine.
I don't usually do the Christmas card thing. I think I stopped when a lot of people stopped using the mail in general and used e-mail instead. That really isn't the reason, the reason is I just get so busy I forget. For example did you know it is less than two weeks until Christmas and I barely have any Christmas shopping done? Today I went to get some presents for my daughter and almost everything was out of stock.
I took a quick quiet moment this evening to create a LEGO Minifigure Family to represent my own family in the form of a Christmas card. It was a lot of fun and best of all it is free!
Each member of your Minifig’ family can be customized to match skin tone, facial expressions, outfits and more. You can even set the scene! Once you’ve got your family Minifig-ed, you can share the holiday card with your friends and family via your social channels.
Here is my LEGO Minifigure Family can you see the resemblance?
You can add up to 13 members of your family with choices of adult, child, baby, dog, and cat. Love how they included pets because we all know pets are definitely part of the family. You start out by selecting your skin tone and facial expressions. For adults there are 37 facial features to choose from. Next you can select your hair/hat with over 80 different options.
Next you move on to the torso to pick your shirt or outfit. There are some every day choices and then some fun holiday choices like Santa and a gingerbread man. Your last step in your LEGO Minigure Family creation will be your legs.
Once everyone is ready you will get to choose your back ground. There are several options from the fun beach scene above in mine to an outer space background. You can also edit your message by selected from a list of pre-written options.
For my card I decided to make a "real" likeness to my family but it would be fun to make us all from outer space or have fun with some of the holiday outfits. I encourage you to have a little fun with your own family and even get your children involved to make your own. LEGO Minifigure Family
