Last weekend the family and I took a trip to Orlando to enjoy the accommodations of the Caribe Royale. Since we were making this a family vacation I lined up some fun for all of us such as dinner at the House of Blues, a trip to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and a comfortable drive in a Kia Cadenza.
My daughter was a little disappointed that we weren’t traveling in an SUV like the Kia Sorento (one of our favorite Kia’s) but she soon got over it. The kids are easy to please just give them all an electronic device and some head phones and they are set!
Do let those long sleeve shirts and jackets give you the idea that it was cold out, my kids just are a little weird at times. The weather was actually perfect for our vacation and I couldn’t have asked for anything nicer. Our drive was quiet thanks to the multiple electronics and it was smooth sailing up to Orlando. One of my favorite features of the Kia Cadenza was the cruise control. I know you are thinking cruise control is nothing new how could that be your favorite?
Kia Cadenza Cruise Control
This was not your normal cruise control. The way it works is you set your cruise control as normal however you can also set how far you want to be in length from the car before you. With three different settings you can tell the car you want to be no closer than lets say 40 feet to the care in front of you. Then you cruise. If you come up on a car the Kia Cadenza will start to slow down if it is approaching a closer range than 40 feet. If the car moves out of the way or you switch lanes the car will than speed back up to your set cruise control. I thought this was so cool. My husband is not a “cruise control” person and decided not to try it out. However I did on the way to work and just thought it was pretty neat!
As we were approaching Orlando everyone voiced their need for FOOD! Since we were not on a timeline and the hotel was not sure if they were going to be ready for an early arrival we decided we would stop somewhere and eat. The question is where? Since we weren’t familiar with the area we weren’t sure what was in the area. So I took to the Kia Cadenza to tell us.
This came in quite handy. Once you decide where you want you can click on it and get the directions. Not even knowing what we wanted fast food, sit down, etc. This was a great tool to not only find a restaurant int he area but also give us an idea of where to eat. We decided on one of our new favorite places (it is rare the whole family enjoys one place) Steak n’ Shake.
I was impressed with how roomy and comfortable the front seat was. I asked the kids how was the back seat and they all love the seat warmers (or as Honey calls them the “butt” warmers). However Honeys favorite feature of the car was the sun roof!
