Keeping your cool is important when you have three kids! When Mucinex® approached me about tips for keeping a clear-head I knew it was right up my alley.
It’s a normal day, up at 6:30 and running, (as in my feet not my nose) until my head hits the pillow late into the night when the rest of the family is sleeping peacefully. My morning usually starts with a quick shower and an attempt to get ready amongst my congested bathroom.
Note To Self: Must find a place for these 15 tubes of lipsticks (you can never have too many colors), two sets of hot rollers (because one is never enough), 5 different curling irons (spiral, flat, big, and small) and a truckload of brushes (who needs just one).
Then the race begins, the race against time, where I must wake up three sleeping kids. I must get the oldest off to school (because it is not cool to ride a bike) while reminding the other two pajamas is not on the approved list of school clothing. This is my routine every morning and usually goes off without a hitch. One of the reasons is I’ve learned not to stress. Getting stressed before your day even begins does not make for a great day. Even worse is getting the kids stressed. So I keep a cool head by reminding myself late is not the end of the world. It is better to take your time and get to work, or school, in one piece in a relaxed mood.
The work day is often hectic with emails flying (can you imagine a life without email?), phones ringing, and deadlines to meet. However one thing I don’t do is work well in a congested and messy work area. For this reason my space is usually pretty clean with folders for projects, an inbox, and a place for everything (the opposite of home). I try to clean my desk each night before I leave so I walk in the next day to a organized and clear work space. A clean and clear desk makes for a clear-head and beginning to a great work day.
With work behind me, I plow ahead into the evening. Where dinners are to be made, homework to be checked, and trips to sports practice and back. This is what I live for, taking care of my family. This is what it is all for, and what good is it to fumble through life with stress and head-aches constantly threatening to take hold. We often stress about the little things when really most of the time they do not matter. Better to keep a clear head and know you are doing your best and doing what you should be doing when you should be doing it.
When you get a cold the brakes are applied with a screeching halt. Things start to fall apart as you forget things, wake up late, don’t get enough sleep, and just fumble through your day. When I’m sick I sneeze like crazy unless I have a sinus or chest cold.
When this happens it knocks me out because I’m not use to sinus pressure and coughing like I might loose a lung. Mucinex® Sinus-MaxTM provides relief from your worst symptoms with a triple action formula that breaks up mucus and relieves headache and sinus pressure.
