No matter how old I get I will never tire of decorating and carving pumpkins for Halloween. Of course long gone are the days of triangle eyes and noses. I love to find something intricate and fun to carve. This year I decided to paint a pumpkin, maybe it comes from my love of painting rocks that Honey and I started doing this year, or maybe it was just because I saw a cool video on Facebook of someone painting a galaxy pumpkin.
I loved the video and wanted to give Adventure in a Box a shout out for the cool idea and inspiration for my galaxy pumpkin. Mine may not have turned out as amazing as theirs but I still loved painting it and did it for my son who loves outer space.
Galaxy Pumpkin
It was very simple to make and I highly suggest watching the video on the website. You really can’t go wrong, choose your colors, grab a sponge and start painting. You can add as much or as less as you want to create your own personal galaxy pumpkin.
Overall I think it turned out pretty good. My daughter decided to go traditional and carve her pumpkin. Like her mother no triangles for eyes and a nose for this girl either. She searched up on the internet and decided to do a favorite character from Finding Nemo.
We had some fun mother daughter time creating our masterpieces!
