In honor of Veterans Day, Jungle Island invites active-duty, retired military and first-responders to receive free park admission from November 11-18, 2016. South Florida’s favorite landmark attraction also is extending a 50% discount on one-day passes for up to four accompanying family members.
“While we celebrate year-round the sacrifices our veterans and active military make in order to protect our country, we feel it also important to recognize our first-responders for their important work in our community,” said Christopher Gould, managing director of Jungle Island. “We look forward to providing all our heroes and their loved ones with a memorable park experience filled with interactive animal experiences unique to Jungle Island.”
On any given trip to Jungle Island, visitors enjoy three engaging animal shows and informative exhibits while strolling by streams and waterfalls under a lush canopy of tropical trees. The attraction is home to more than 450 rare animals and offers park guests the opportunity to explore the 18-acre park and get up-close-and-personal to numerous wildlife including twin orangutans, Australian red kangaroos, Aldabra tortoises, large cats, reptiles and colorful parrots, to name a few.
To take advantage of Jungle Island’s special Veterans Day week offer, a valid military or proof of military veterans status must be presented at time of ticket purchase. Valid November 11-18, 2016. Jungle Island is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail in Miami. For more information, call 305-400-7000 or visit www.jungleisland.com.
