Women, in particular, tend to have a caring nature. They tend to their husbands, their children, their house, and their work. Often this leaves little time for themselves. I will not go so far to say I don’t do things for myself because I believe I do. My kids are older though and when they were young I don’t think I took the time to care for myself like many young mothers. I saw this challenge over at Blog By Donna who found it at
I loved the idea and have decided to participate. Here are the basics….
What is the #LoveMe Challenge?
#LoveMe is a challenge to love yourself. Everyday there will be a prompt for you to look at yourself, embrace who you are, and hopefully help you learn that you are beautiful, you are amazing and you need to love who you are!
How do I participate in #LoveMe?
Everyday there will be a prompt, you can share an instagram, a tweet, a blog or a video that was inspired by that prompt. Just make sure if when you share add the hashtag #LoveMe.
I plan on using many of the different mediums as I don’t want to tie myself to a blog post a day, though I may try who knows? If you would like to follow along just follow me on any of the networks listed (to follow up simply check out the tabs under my header on the right hand side).
#LoveMe Challenge Day 1
I decided to participate in the challenge simply because I love the idea of spending a few minutes a day to take time for yourself. I often get caught up in the morning rush to get the kids to school and work, race home to feed the family, try to get in some housework or laundry, and then sitting down to blog. All this before placing my head on my pillow at night to do it all over again. I complain sometimes about things I wish I didn’t have to do but I also love my life and my family and I think that we have so many blessings and good fortune that I wouldn’t have it any other way. So I’m taking this month to spend a few minutes and joining this fun #LoveMe challenge.
If you are joining in please let me know so we can support each other in way of comments and shares.
