Setting up a wedding registry can be as difficult as picking out summer bridesmaid dresses for the wedding party. I’ve heard of people having broken scanners or the information just being wrong in the “system” when guests try to make purchases from the list. The whole point of a registry is to make it easy on people to buy happy couple gifts. Best Buy designed its wedding registry with that in mind. Couples can create a registry with a simple, fun process and manage it through the website or at a local Best Buy store using their mobile app. Best Buy has created a wedding registry checklist as well as curated lists for every room to provide added inspiration. I thought I’d spend a little time deciding what would be on my registry if I were to make one today.
Taking a look at the Best Buy wedding registry checklist, it’s broken down into categories including Everyday Adventures, Kitchen, Living Room, Home Care, Personal Care, and Home Office. I could easily choose several items from each category, but I narrowed it down to my “Top Five” choosing one item in each section that would be an amazing addition to a wedding registry.

Everyday Adventures: This category is full of fitness trackers, GPS, cell phone, and tablet accessories, but what caught my attention are the action camcorders such as the GoPro Hero HD Waterproof Action Camera for $129.99. Most newlyweds jet off for their honeymoon and this camera is a great way to experience those adventures. It’s also perfect for their other “firsts” as husband and wife such as unwrapping the rest of their bridal gifts and putting them to good use.
Kitchen: Oh boy, I’d love to ask for one of everything in this category. I love my kitchen appliances and gadgets! For the sake of choosing, I picked the Crock Pot 6 Quart Slow Cooker for $49.99. This way the couple can toss in a few items, turn the slow cooker on, and head out to enjoy their day. When they get back, they can have a delicious meal with easy clean-up. This model even comes with a little warmer!
Living Room: With all the streaming options available, the best thing to put on a wedding registry is something that you can use for services such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. For that purpose, I chose the Amazon Fire TV Stick for $39.99, it allows you to stream all your favorite content and is easy to set up. Simply plug it into an HDMI port on your TV and you’re good to go.
Home Care: There are a lot of useful items in this category such as washing machines and dryers. Ultimately, I chose the Dyson V6 Motorhead Bagless Cordless Vacuum for $399.99. I’ve always wanted one and this would surely make vacuuming less of a chore.
Personal Care: With a variety of products to choose from such as hair dryers and straighteners, in this section, I thought matching Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes for $39.99 would be the best way to keep a couple smiling brightly, especially with all the new photos they’re likely to take!
Home Office: When putting together a wedding registry, it’s important to keep a good mix of price ranges with practical items. That being said, for larger ticket items, Best Buy offers a feature called Group Gifting. It allows the couple to add pricier items and the guests to contribute any amount towards it that they are comfortable with. This would be perfect for the Apple 21.5″ iMac computer for $1029.99 that I’d love to add to my imaginary registry.
Regardless of price, each of my Top Five items and every other product on the Best Buy Wedding Registry list has free shipping with no minimum!
Would you choose affordable items or take advantage of Group Gifting for more expensive items? What would be your first pick? You can check this list out if you want more ideas on what to put on your wedding registry.
