I mentioned last week that I was participating in the Kohl’s Denim Style Challenge. Last week my mission was to show you a casual look with my newly purchased Rock & Republic Emo Distressed Boyfriend Jeans. Just for the record I’m totally loving the jeans. The fit is perfect, never tight and loose enough to fit my curves. Today my mission was to take the same pair of jeans and dress up my look.
With a simple change of my top, shoes, jewelry and hairstyle I’ve changed my look into a night on the town.
I actually purchased a different top but decided that it wasn’t quite giving me the look I was going after so I turned to one of my favorite tops a sweater top that always looks great paired with jeans. In the winter months weeks I like to pair it with a pair of black boats. Today I’ve paired it with a nice pair of sexy high heels. I’ve added a little jewelry in the form of a zebra printed bracelet and heart shaped necklace. Both of these pieces I picked up in the jewelry department at my local Kohl’s. The necklace is versatile the chain is long and can be worn at several different lengths.
In addition to give me a more “dressed-up” look I’ve added a little curl to my hair and pulled my bangs back with a small clip. Leaving a little bit of bang in the front to give it that wispy feel. Due to the fact that I wear work casual on most days, slacks and blouses when it comes to a night out or the weekends I love wearing jeans and dressing it up, or dressing it down for the occasion.
The great thing about Kohl’s is I never leave emptied handed. Wait, is that a good thing? I guess it depends if you are asking me or my husband. Kohl’s will always be at the top of my list when it comes to clothing for myself and my family. Stay tuned for some up coming post which will include fashions from Daisy Fuentes and Peter Som and YIKES me trying to find a few dresses (I’m not much of a dress person).
What type of shoes do you like to wear with jeans?
Disclosure: I received a Kohl’s gift card to help facilitate this post and create the look seen above. You may read more of my disclosure here.
