Honey is a hostess with the mostess. Seriously this girl loves a good party and she likes to be in charge of everything from what is serve, to where people sit, to each and every decoration. When I told her we needed to come up with a fun Thank You gift for our Super Bowl party she was excited to be part of the process. So we put our heads together….
And came up with a way to use her creativity and cut down on wasting food. What is one main attraction at a Super Bowl party? The food of course! From wings to pizza and chips to dip. Everyone gathers around the big screen and table full of goodies waiting for the kick off. I know in our family we tend to over prepare which means we are left with a lot of leftover food. You can only eat chicken wings and meatballs so many days before they are just less appealing. So honey and I came up with a cute DIY Super Bowl Thank You gift to give our party goers.
We created a very unique and fun take home container for each guest. This way we will not be left with tons of leftovers sure to go to waste. Our fun DIY Super Bowl Party Thank You Gifts are specially decorated by Honey herself, using not just Sharpie markers, but Neon Sharpie markers and Rubbermaid containers that our guest can use again and again.
She decorated the sides with fun stickers and wrote Thanks! on one of the sides. Each bowl is labeled and ready for the guest. We also included a special token of our appreciation on top. We are adorning each bowl with a recipe. The recipe card has been laminated so it can be removed and tucked away or added to a recipe box.
As an added bonus when we went to Target to pick up our supplies I was able to use some great coupons. Not only that but I LOVE how you can get and use Target coupons so easily. It is so simple. Just take Target (that is what you put in as the number) the word Coupons. You will receive a message to sign up for Target Mobile Coupons. After a quick signup you will see a message that you will receive coupons in a couple of weeks. I actually received my coupons in 5 minutes. The great thing is you get a text message to a link that you pull up while at target. The ONE bar code is good for all the coupons.
So you can see there were two coupons I was able to use both $1.00 off Rubbermaid food storage containers and $1.00 the Sharpie markers. All I did was show the cashier my phone and she scanned the bar code and both coupons were applied to my total. I even commented how cool it was and the cashier agreed!
In addition to our DIY Thank You gifts Honey also made some fun name plates for the food we plan to have at our party. Decorating them with the left over stickers! Our decorations are often home made and dollar store bought. After all everyone is coming for the food and fun right?
