I remember I use to love the magnet that my grandmother had on her dishwasher. Even though she has passed the magnet is still there. It is simple really, just something to let others know if the dishwasher is clean or dirty. I’m sure you can purchase the same thing in a store. I’ve seen something similar myself but nothing that I liked. See my grandmothers flipped back and forth and I just loved it as a child. So instead of searching for one I decided to make my own.
Supplies Needed:
- Piece of paper (or two)
- Scissors
- Sandwich Bag
- Super Glue
- 4 Magnets
The craft really only takes a matter of minutes once you have designed your magnet. In our case we pulled a photo off of the internet that we liked and added our own wording. You need two photos one for Clean and one for Dirty. We chose a dishwasher, found some fun fonts, and created our photos.
Directions:
Cut out your photos to fit into your sandwich bag
Flip one of your photos over and superglue a magnet to each corner
Add superglue to the top of the magnets and glue to the second photo. You should basically have a magnet sandwich. The photos should be on the outside and the magnets in between.
Then just slip it into the bag and zip it up.
Just remember to switch your magnet when you start your dishwasher to clean and then back to dirty when you empty it, or in my case when the children do.
