The days of bathing my babies is long gone for me but my memories and lasting effects are still with me today. Baby’s First Baby is definitely a milestone many parents look forward too. We want to see how our babies react, in hopes that then enjoy the relaxing water and soothing touch. Three children means three different “Baby’s First Bath”. It has been a while but I’m pretty sure that my babies enjoyed their baths. I know that my daughter and oldest son have taken that love with them as they have grown. One of my favorite photos of my daughter was taken during bath time.
Believe it or not those baby blues are now blue green with more green then blue! So what do you think of when you think of of baths? I think of bubbles and amazing smells. Even more so when bathing my babies. My all time favorite scent is baby powder. I would like to say it has to do with my own babies but I have loved it long before I had mine. Did you know that babies begin to smell at 28 weeks during pregnancy?
The options in baby bathing products was much more when I when daughter was little compared to when my boys were little. By the time my daughter came along Johnson & Johnson had begun their line of lavender products and their soothing baby vapor. Both of these are my favorite and I think had a lot to do with my daughter enjoying her bath and being relaxed and calm when she was done.
My Favorite Johnson’s Baby Bath Products
Playing with bubbles helps babies develop hand-eye coordination and discover objects exist even when they can’t be seen. My daughter still enjoys a good bubble bath. We often take a bath together and she gets to choose which bubbles to add to the bath. I often keep several different bubble scents on hand. I love that bath time is still a favorite time for my daughter and I.
The Power of Bath Time
As you can see bath time can be so much more than simply a means to clean. Take the time to not only bond with your baby but enrich their senses with touch, massage, and smells. Take advantage of the tech-time out and enjoy the little things in life like the smile of that little baby of yours!
Did your child enjoy their first bath? Do you enjoy a good bath?
